Adopt-a-Donkey Program

This new & exciting project brings concerned citizens and professionals together to conduct donkey clinics in Lalitpur brick kilns. The conditions of working donkeys here are so bad we felt something must be done, right here and now. Apart from conducting health camps injured donkeys are rescued and given up for adoption. Anyone can help by pledging a donation or volunteering. Below is the lastest in media about this initiative.

Currently Available for Adoption

Have you ever thought of adopting a donkey? Did you know they make great pets? That is, if you have enough means, land and a shelter to provide them with a good life? Animal Nepal rescues donkeys that are neglected or abandoned by their owners.

After getting well and being socialised they are available for adoption. Before adoption, Animal Nepal will first make a monitoring visit to your house. You will be given a guide on How to Take Care of a Donkey and then asked to fill out an adoption form.

Upon acceptance into the program, your donkey will be delivered to your door. To choose your donkey online, browse our online gallery of Adopt-A-Donks.
